2023 Recruitment Awards

The first interaction most students have with the college or university they ultimately attend is usually with the admissions office.  How an institution treats students and parents through the recruitment process can be an early indicator of what the student experience will be like.

To receive this award, institutions needed to be nominated by a school counselor, independent educational consultant, community-based organization professional, a faculty or staff member on campus, or the Leading Colleges team.

The Leading Colleges Awards Selection Committee has reviewed the nominations and identified 25 institutions across 19 states being recognized for ensuring ethical, fair, and transparent recruiting practices.

The goal of Leading Colleges is to create a meaningful lens for school counselors, independent educational consultants, and community-based organization professionals to identify student-centered colleges and universities.  This work is done through two main programs: the annual awards and the ongoing work of the membership organization.
